Pitched as part of a global initiative, Dîner en Blanc is the world’s first viral event premised on the concept of a “très chic picnic” imported from Paris. According to its website, this mass gastronomic extravanganza have taken place in outdoor public spaces in 20 cities across 5 continents this year, from Barcelona to New York City, from Montreal to Sydney.

One of the advantages/disadvantages of being an obsessive-compulsive blogger is that I not only dig the various theories of Influence 2.0, but live them on a daily basis too. While not all bloggers are alike – just as not all mothers, students, pastors or criminals are – there are certain traits which make us hardcore content producers who we are.

Any PR person worth his or her salt these days would know that reaching bloggers, youtubers, flickrers, facebookers and twitterers (etcetera..) isn’t exactly the same as engaging the mainstream press.
